A little about me.
I was born October 15, 1960 in San Miguel, Azores (one of the islands that belong to Portugal). My dad came to Canada by himself, got a job, saved some money then 2 years later we (my mom brother and I) came to Canada (Toronto). I was 7 years old then. This was the best gift that my mom and dad could ever give us. I lived in Toronto from 1967 to 1992. I thought that I would be a Toronto boy for all of my life but I moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1992 and I'm still here. It's a great city and the people are very friendly. I love it here:)

I absolutely love photography. Almost everything that I do revolves around photography. I got my first camera in 1974 (Canon AE-1 program). I think photography is the best hobby/profession and I'm lucky to be able to do both. I believe that photography makes you look at life a little differently, examine it a little closer and not take everything for granted.

I also absolutely love to travel. Check out my travel section for some images from the places that I've been too (Mongolia, Ethiopia, Russia, Peru, Mali, India just to name a few). I love bringing back my images and stories and sharing them with my family and friends.

I have now been doing photography as my full time business for over 24 years. I've done close to 900 weddings and countless portrait and commercial projects. I've been incredibly lucky to have been hired to photographer some very big celebrities and some great people that weren't quite as famous :)  I take huge pride in my work. I'm constantly going to photography conventions, seminars, online classes and just about anything else to stay on top of things.

One of the most important things about my job is that I like people and I love trying to make their wedding day more then just a photo shoot. I want to give my couples great memories that they can have for life and it just happens that I can capture those memories for them with my camera :)
